There are more and more people attempting to earn money on the Internet every day. Lots of them are from the West, but even more are from developing countries. In both cases, you need a credit card.
This is why there is so much spam, there are millions of people who cannot compose a letter well enough in English and/or who do not have a credit card to use the alternatives.
